Artist Bio
I am a second generation Casper Wyoming Native. As such, I have witnessed the striking change crushed upon the territory by Man and Nature's uncharitable potency. I using the method of "Mouthpiece Art" necessary as the result of a rodeo accident which left me paralyzed from the upper shoulders down and dependent on a ventilator. My art traces an interest in capturing a portion of the dying spirit of the tattered West. The character-filled, tempered landscapes help the passing of Nature's West become immortal through creation on canvas.
Educated in Wyoming, I received a Bachelor of Social Work with Honors from the University of Wyoming, as well as an Associate of Applied Science in Social Work degree from Casper College. I am an alumni of the Phi Kappa Phi fraternity, and a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. I have been nominated to "Who's Who in the West", and selected as one of the Outstanding Young Men in America. I have also been a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association of Student Social Workers.
Much of my artwork has been displayed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. I have also exhibited my work locally, regionally, and nationally. Many of my paintings may be viewed at VSA arts of Wyoming here in Casper.
