OLD TOWN - This is my first painting. It is Old Town, in Cody, WY. Thanks for all the help June!
MOONSHINE SHACK - When I saw this old building outside of Midwest Wyoming I knew I had to attempt to capture it's character. After I completed it a friend came over and recognized it as a shack that her Father used to moonshine out of over fifty years ago. The building has almost colapsed from the weather but the memories can last forever now. This painting has hung in the Kennedy Center for the Arts in Washington,
DYING DAIRY - This is a painting of an old dairy barn outside Glenrock, Wyoming. As you can see it is not constructed with the same materials as most barns in Wyoming. Even through the building has now colapsed the brick front still stands. Not only did the practice of using bricks not catch on but niether did the practice of dairy farming become popular in this area. This painting has hung in the Kennedy Cente
JACKSON CABIN - I painted this old Jackson Hole area homestead cabin to demonstrate the great vastness faced by Wyomings pioneers. Whenever I see one of these homestead cabins I wonder about the people who lived and died while striving to carve out an existence in a wilderness which while beautiful is extremelly hostile and deadly. What brought them here and what happened then?
TEPEE PRAYER - Devils Tower has recently gained so much attention for use it's use as both a Native American religious site and recreational use. I am not going to get into a debate because both sides have excellent reasons. I did want to do a painting showing my religious perspective. DYING EMBERS - The buffalo may be gone and the snow too cold and deep for the other game. I painted this winter scene and then noticed there was no smoke or apparent life. Why don't the indians rekindle the dying embers, or is it too late?

With the strengthening meat and comforting robe the Indians were able to survive unbelievable hardships in subfreezing cold and sweltering heat.
